Occult Necklace

Occult Necklace

Jagex has officially announced forthcoming adjustments to the Occult Necklace, intended to recalibrate its magical damage bonus from the current 10% to a revised 4%. This revision seeks to rectify perceived discrepancies in power relative to the Ancestral set, a discrepancy particularly notable given the considerable price disparity. Consequently, the 6% reduction in magical damage attributed to the Occult Necklace will be redistributed across a spectrum of magical items and prayers. The reallocation of bonuses is outlined as follows:

Soulreaper Axe

Soulreaper Axe

The Soulreaper Axe has undergone adjustments aimed at enhancing its functionality without directly increasing its damage output. These adjustments include:

1. Elimination of immediate stack loss upon weapon switching.

2. Extension of the time before stack depletion begins, now occurring after 20 ticks (equivalent to 12 seconds) of inactivity, up from the previous 10 ticks (equivalent to 6 seconds).

3. Implementation of a mechanism where, upon natural stack degradation, players are healed for the damage incurred during the accumulation of those stacks.

These refinements are intended to augment the utility and adaptability of the Soulreaper Axe, presenting players with a more viable option in combat scenarios. By facilitating the maintenance of accumulations and mitigating excessive depletion when transitioning weapons, these adjustments contribute to a smoother and more effective combat experience.

Elder Maul

Elder Maul

One of the changes that has stirred significant discussion within the community is the introduction of a special attack for the Elder Maul. This special attack, utilizing 50% of the special attack energy, delivers a strike with a 25% increase in accuracy and reduces the defense of the target by 35% upon a successful hit. This adjustment positions the Elder Maul as superior to the Dragon Warhammer in terms of the percentage of defense reduction it offers. Additionally, it eliminates the need to carry both the Dragon Warhammer and the Avernic Defender simultaneously in certain scenarios, thus streamlining inventory management for players.

Inquisitor Armour and the Inquisitor's Mace

Inquisitor Armour and the Inquisitor's Mace

Both the Inquisitor Armour and the Inquisitor's Mace have seen limited utilization among players thus far, with the complete set rarely observed in active use. Presently, donning the Inquisitor Armour alongside the Inquisitor's Mace grants a modest 2.5% bonus to damage and accuracy. However, this enhancement has often been overshadowed by the formidable power of the Scythe of Vitur, prompting many to opt for its use alongside Inquisitor Armour.

In response to player feedback and to foster greater diversity in gameplay strategies, Jagex has elected to substantially increase this bonus from 2.5% to 7.5%. This significant adjustment not only incentivizes the combined use of the Inquisitor's Mace and Armour but also enriches the tactical landscape of combat encounters, encouraging players to explore new equipment configurations and playstyles.

Voidwaker

Voidwaker

For the Voidwaker, Jagex's development team has introduced an adjustment to its special attack, altering its functionality to no longer bypass accuracy checks. Instead, the special attack now operates with a significant increase of +400% (or 5x) in Accuracy, and it rolls against the target's lower defense value between Slash and Magic Defense. This modification ensures that the special attack maintains triple the accuracy while strategically selecting the most advantageous defense parameter, thereby consistently optimizing the likelihood of a successful hit.

Ancient Godsword

Ancient Godsword

The Ancient Godsword has undergone a nerf to its special attack, prompted by concerns that it was creating significant disparities in PvP combat, often resulting in up to a 50 HP gap between opponents. This imbalance left opponents with few viable survival options. Consequently, Jagex's development team has decided to implement a modification wherein the special attack now restores 15% of the target's maximum HP, capped at 25 HP. It's important to note that this adjustment will not impact PvM encounters.

Dragon Warhammer

An item that remained unchanged in terms of its attributes is the Dragon Warhammer, although it did receive a notable adjustment to its drop rate. Its drop rate has been increased from 1 in 5000 to 1 in 3000. This alteration is expected to capture the attention of ironmen, as it significantly improves their chances of obtaining this coveted item.
