Requirements

1. Slayer Level 10: To receive Cave Crawlers as a Slayer task, you need at least level 10 Slayer. If you're a beginner, you can start training Slayer by visiting a Slayer Master, such as Turael in Burthorpe, who assigns easy tasks.

2. Anti-Poison: Cave Crawlers have a poison attack, so it's essential to bring some form of anti-poison. You can obtain Antipoison potions, Antipoison++ potions, or even bring some food like trout or better if you're low on resources.

3. Combat Equipment: You'll need appropriate combat gear. Melee is the recommended style for killing Cave Crawlers, but you can also use Ranged or Magic if you prefer.

4. Food: Bring some food for healing if your combat level is low or if you're not using the Protect from Melee prayer.

Combat Strategy

When fighting Cave Crawlers, follow these steps:

1. Activate Protect from Melee: If you have the prayer level, activate the Protect from Melee prayer to reduce the damage taken.

2. Engage in Combat: Attack the Cave Crawlers with your chosen combat style. Melee is recommended, but you can use Ranged or Magic if preferred. Cave Crawlers have low Hitpoints, so they should be relatively easy to defeat.

3. Antipoison: Keep an eye on your poison status and use your anti-poison item or potion when needed. They can poison you fairly quickly, so it's crucial to stay on top of this.

4. Loot: Collect any drops they leave behind. Cave Crawlers drop various items, including herbs and seeds, which can be valuable for Herblore or making money.

2. Efficient Herb Collection: Cave Crawlers drop a variety of herbs, making them a decent source for early Herblore training or making money by selling the herbs on the Grand Exchange.

3. Bring a Looting Bag: If you're in the Wilderness slaying Cave Crawlers, consider bringing a Looting Bag to store drops and avoid losing valuable items upon death.

Killing Cave Crawlers in OSRS is a straightforward task, especially for beginner Slayers. It's a decent way to earn some early-game Slayer experience and gather valuable resources. Remember to come prepared with anti-poison and suitable combat gear, and you'll make quick work of them. Good luck on your Slayer journey!
