To acquire the Overcharged Rune in Season of Discovery, shamans must embark on a quest that spans several locations across Azeroth. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you through the process. Please note that you need to be at least level 45 to initiate these quests.

Step 1: Gathering Shaman's Notes and Initiating Quests

In this initial phase, shamans will need to locate dropped Shaman's Notes from specific mobs in four distinct zones. Each set of notes will lead to a series of quests, ultimately providing fragments necessary for the completion of the greater quest.

Tanaris:

- Dropped Notes:  Blurred Shaman's Notes

- Drop Locations: Dustbelcher Hyenas, Land Ragers, and Crystal Fangs in Tanaris.

- Initiating Quest: Purifying the Earth

- Quest Objective: Obtain Murky Earth Sapta and purify the tainted Spirit Rock.

- Location: /way 62 64

- Important: Accept the follow-up quest The Call of the Earth, but do not complete it yet.

Searing Gorge:

- Dropped Notes:  Scorched Shaman's Notes

- Drop Locations: Magma Elementals and Inferno Elementals in Searing Gorge.

- Initiating Quest: Purifying Fire

- Quest Objective: Obtain Murky Fire Sapta and cleanse the tainted Spirit Rock.

- Location: /way 24 72

- Important: Accept the follow-up quest The Call of Fire, but do not complete it yet.

Hinterlands:

- Dropped Notes:  Torn Shaman's Notes

- Drop Locations: Jade Oozes and Green Oozes in the Hinterlands.

- Initiating Quest: Purifying the Air

- Quest Objective: Obtain Murky Air Sapta and cleanse the tainted Spirit Rock.

- Location: /way 51 46

- Important: Accept the follow-up quest The Call of the Air, but do not complete it yet.

Azshara:

- Dropped Notes:  Drenched Shaman's Notes

- Drop Locations: Haldarr Satyrs, Tricksters, and Deceivers in Azshara.

- Initiating Quest: Purifying Water

- Quest Objective: Obtain Murky Water Sapta and cleanse the tainted Spirit Rock.

- Location: /way 14 49

- Important: Accept the follow-up quest The Call of Water, but do not complete it yet.

Step 2: Completing Fragment Quests and Confronting the Final Boss

Once you've obtained the Shaman's Notes and initiated the quests, it's time to collect fragments and prepare for the final confrontation.

Feralas:

- Hunt Sea Elementals and Sea Sprays along the southwest coast to obtain Elemental Essence.

- You'll need 3x Elemental Essence for each set of Fragments.

- Combine the Essences with the Fragments provided in the quests to create Bright Earth Fragment, Bright Air Fragment, Bright Fire Fragment, and Bright Water Fragment.

Final Confrontation:

- Travel to /way 36 33 in Feralas.

- Locate an area with four pillars and use the Glowing Fragments in your possession to spawn various elemental Moderate Manifestations.

- Turn in all completed quests.

- A level 50 Twilight Dark Shaman will spawn.

- Defeat the Dark Shaman to obtain the coveted Overcharged Rune.
